This Northwest Hunter has an double black canvas micarta handle. The blade is made from A2 steel. James Bridgman created the Northwest Hunter for one purpose, processing wild game in the field. Although it doubles as a quality camp knife, the design function began as a hunting tool. Much like a high end chef’s knife, the blade is flat from spine to cutting edge ensuring the blade features remain clear of the cutting action. No unnecessary hollow grinds, secondary bevels or fullers are present to hinder fieldwork. Simple, clean and functional, The blade may be laid flat when skinning or butchering game; minimizing waste while the sweeping bevel provides the ideal edge for skinning. The spine thickness is traditionally .125 inches but may be up to .140 thickness depending on the steel. The tang is skeletonized making the knife stout enough to handle tough environments yet light enough to pack into the field. The scales, choil and plunge line integrate to allow both an over-grip or standard hand shake hold depending on the task at hand. Handles are made from either G10, Micarta, or Anodized Aluminum
